Iranian Tanboor with Mother-of-Pearl Inlays
The MOT-4 is a Persian tanboor made by Movlana, with a carved walnut bowl and decorative inlay work.
The bowl is carved from very old, figured walnut with a distinctive wavy grain, known as “hareli”. The soundboard is made from aged mulberry wood.
The solid walnut neck has an ebony fingerboard decorated with intricate mother-of-pearl inlays. The handmade walnut tuning pegs feature bone inlays.
